A former leading fashion model who was 5'10'' tall. Carey was an a fan favorite of the top American designers such as Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Her father is a distinguished geologist who was voted Scientist Of The Year 1979, at the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey was educated throughout the world as a consequence of her father's work. While in college, she began to model in a part-time capacity and caught the eye of Ford model Agency representatives in New York. The model briefly studied and lived in Paris before returning to New York. Her modeling and academic career rocketed and she was featured on the covers of Glamour's and Vogue's as well as many other covers of magazines. While she was modeling, she was also a full-time student, completing a master's degree in literary studies at New York University. As she studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse, New York and began to become interested in acting increased. She made her acting debut by playing a minor role in 'Club Paradise' in 1986 with Robin Williams. When she is not working she loves skiing or windsurfing. She also enjoys climbing mountains and whitewater kayaking.
