Jana Kramer, an actor and songwriter, who specialises in country music and songwriting gained prominence in the world of television when she was Alex in the last three seasons of One Tree Hill. The series featured her first releases as country music, propelling her 2012 debut album to the Billboard 200 to the Top 20. Thirty One from 2015 reached the top ten spot. In the final decade of her career with a performance on Dancing with the Stars. In 2021, the self-doubting Voices was released. Growing up in Rochester Hills Michigan Jana Rae Kramer grew up on country music and would eventually pursue a recording career but she made her debut as a performer, who made her screen debut on the screen in the 2002 independent horror film Dead/Undead as she was in her teen years. She appeared in guest spots for All My Children, CSI: NY and Friday Night Lights for the 2nd season of the show 2007-2008. Kramer appeared on 90210 from 2008 to 2009 as Portia as well as Brooke Manning before joining One Tree Hill on the CW in 2009. In 2009, she played the role of Alex Dupre. Her appearance on the show until the end of 2012 when the series ended. Jana Kramer Kramer's run on One Tree Hill saw her get a recording contract from Elektra Records. In 2011, she premiered the modern country love song I Won't Let Go. It was later included on Jana Kramer, her debut album, which was released in 2012. It landed in the Top Five of the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. She focused on her musical career without quitting acting, and was a part of films which enticed her fans, including Heart of the Country 2013 & Country Crush 2016. Kramer's second album Thirty One was released by Warner Music Nashville on October 15th, 2015. I Got the Boy - the album was a Top Five Country hit - as well as Steven Tyler, Aerosmith's lead vocalist, singing a duet on her album make it to the top ten spot on the Billboard 200. The album was released after a period of two months during the 23rd Dancing with the Stars season, she finished 4th. The same year, she had a hit adult contemporary song with Straight No Chaser's Feels like Christmas.
