Anne Lockhart (born Anne Kathleen Maloney June. 6, 1953) was known as an American actor in the film industry. She is best known for her portrayal of Lieutenant Sheba on the TV show Battlestar Galactica (1978-1979). The actress' daughter is June Lockhart. The professional life of Lockhart began early. She acted in her first film at the age of four when she appeared in T is for Tumbleweed. Oscar nominations were announced for the documentary. Lockhart learned the business management skills of the company with her mother while on set. Lockhart even appeared in several seasons of Lassie. Dora in Jory in 72 was her debut film. The year was 1972 and she was 18 years old when she portrayed her character as the daughter of Joan Crawford on The Sixth Sense. Joan appeared for the final time in the show. A popular rumor is that Anne declined the role in the film Laurie Strode in John Carpenter's 1978 thriller Halloween which was later recast for Jaime Lee Curtis. Carpenter states that the actress declined his invitation to play Laurie Strode. Anne did not recall approached from John Carpenter nor being offered the position. Perhaps one of her representatives declined the role on her behalf, without notifying the actress. Glen Larson initially selected her to play Battlestar Galactica in 1978. He sent a rough script. The role was initially rejected as the character wasn't that strong. Glen developed a new character for her called Sheba and it was more powerful. The Living Legend was accepted after she read the first 25-page script. The show lasted just one season. She co-starred in Joyride alongside Desi Arnaz Jr., Melanie Griffith (the daughter of Desi Arnaz Jr. and Lucille Bell), Robert Carradine and Melanie Griffith in 1977 and in The Dark Tower with Michael Moriarty (1987).
