Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd began her journey to combat sports at age of 14. She trained in boxing kickboxing BJJ and wrestling before making her amateur debut at age 18 in WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd kept building on the victory she scored at Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought for three straight wins. She defeated all her competitors in the initial round. Then, she returned to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen has already beaten Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking the fight to Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia outclassed Aspen and defeated her by an unanimous vote to remove the blemish on Aspen's amateur record. Ladd rebounded from the loss to win against Roma Pawelek, taking her record to 8-1. Aspen was signed to Invicta FC in 2015 to start her professional career. Invicta 11 saw her take on Ana Carolina Vidal to score TKO victory in the opening round. Invicta Fc 16 marked her first match as a Bantamweight. She defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar submission during the second round. Aspen's superior wrestling skill took down McGill in the first round, and she was able to stop her in the third round by TKO (elbows and punches). Aspen took on Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, at catchweight (138.1lb) As Ladd had missed weight. However, Aspen was able to outclass Hoy. The fight was won through a TKO during the second round. Invicta FC 21, she defeated her opponent in her final bout with the promotion via a unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, taking on Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina as she used a combination of ground and pound to prevail by TKO in the second round. Her dominance grew and she scored an impressive win in her subsequent fight with Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd took on Evinger to the punch in the first round. She also earned a Performance of the Night bonus. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent for another rematch in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. It was the fighter's first fight in a major tournament. The two fights were unbeatable fight that Ladd took victory by a unanimous vote. Both fighters earned the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her streak of winning. The third time she fought on UFC at ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. She was replaced by defeated Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. Her defeat was decided by unanimous decision.
