Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American screen and stage actress, best known for her film roles in Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She graduated with a BA from Brown University in African-American Studies. At the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she earned an MFA. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actor, producer and director who has worked in both film and television. The actress Aunjanue. Ellis started her acting career in the theatre. Later, she appeared in television shows along with independent and mainstream film. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and appeared on BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for which she received not just high praise but also received a host of nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Film. In 1995, she made her debut in the role of Ariel on stage as Ariel in The Tempest. She's appeared as a character on Broadway as a part of Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. When it comes to film, she is most well-known for her performances in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. Also, she is well-known for her role on ABC's crime drama High Incident.
